Josh is a positive and adaptable post-production professional with over a decade of experience across a variety of formats, from institutional educational series to corporate and narrative shorts. Currently seeking to leverage technical foundations in media management, ingest, and transcoding to support post production teams on his path to becoming a narrative offline editor.
Joshua's recent work includes acting as an Associate Media Designer & Editor for the University of Queensland, where he helped manage the pipeline for a 21-episode series, Thinking Skills for Global Change, headed by Dr Michael Noetel and Ambitious Impact (AIM).
Here Josh organised & integrated diverse media sources; implemented FX from After Effects, Pinokio, Photoshop; performed audio restoration of environmental interference with Audition, and researched evolving technologies to better overcome technical and creative hurdles. It's highly rewarding to work on projects that spread awareness of important issues while encouraging others to help in practical ways. Josh subsequently worked with The Lady Counsel to help raise funds for breast cancer.
Beyond the edit suite, Josh loves reading film scripts, improvised comedy, game nights, and baseball. Joshua's background as a qualified Speech & Drama teacher ensures he can communicate concepts clearly, and collaborate seamlessly with both production teams and clients.
